The TICKLEFISH Adventure received a 4+ star review, making it an IndieReader Approved title! The author caught up with IndieReader for an interview to share some fun insight into their new book. Here’s a clip from the interview; you can read the full thing here.

What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?

The original story was written for my own little daughter. It was confinement during our recent pandemic that led me to polish the story and to publish my first book.

Advice from author Kalifa Rodriguez: “TRUST YOUR INTUITION AND THE PROCESS BECAUSE THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS.”

Eating These Foods Makes Me… received a 4+ star review, making it an IndieReader Approved title! She shared some great advice in a recent interview with the IR team.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?

To develop food/nutrition intelligence at a young age and promote a healthy lifestyle. As a nutritionist who works with an adult population, I see first hand how many of the health issues people face – from self-esteem and mental health challenges to chronic diseases- could be prevented or at least reduced if they had some prior nutrition related knowledge and developed healthy eating habits earlier in life.

IndieReader gives Rebecca Brown’s Shelter from Our Secrets, Silence and Shame 4.3 stars

“All throughout SHELTER FROM OUR SECRETS, SILENCE, AND SHAME, Brown leans heavily on her thirty-five years of experience as a mental health professional, but the author’s writing is anything but clinical,” says James Weiskittel for IndieReader.

“Utilizing her personal journey as a decades-long case study, Rebecca L. Brown’s SHELTER FROM OUR SECRETS, SILENCE, AND SHAME is a self-help-infused memoir that offers practical tools and strategies to aid in silencing the inner-critic within us all.”
